This visa allows people to visit Japan for a holiday or recreation for a stay up to 90 days.

Documents Required

• Valid Passport
• Covering-Letter
• Financials Documents
• Proof of Occupation
• Day wise Itinerary in Japan
• Bank statement
• Flight Ticket.

Passport:

• A Valid Passport with validity of minimum six months with two blank pages for visa stamp.
• Attach all your old passports (if any).

Please Note: Bio-page observation note and Hand written Passports will not be accepted.

Covering-Letter

• Covering Letter from applicant on business letter head mentioning name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit and mention Single or Multiple entry visa.
• The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to – Consulate General Of Japan , Chennai.

Please Note: Covering Letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed and For Multiple entry Visa, Kindly mention the reason of applying for Multiple Entry Visa.

Financials

• Company and Personal Bank statement for the last 6 months.
• ITR for last 3 yrs
• Company Balance sheet
• Fixed deposits/Investment Proof (If any)
• Copy of Pan Card

Proof of Occupation

Self Employed

• Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation.
• Brief Company Profile.
• Articles of Memorandum (Incase the applicant is MD/Director)

If Employed

Leave sanction letter from Employer and Salary slip.

Day Wise Itinerary

• Hotel Booking: Hotel Confirmation, Tour itinerary and Tour payment Confirmation.
• Airline Reservation : Ticket Itinerary

Bank Statement

• Original salary bank statement with bank stamp of last 6 months is also required

Processing Time:

• The timelines given by The Consulate General of Japan; Chennai for the processing of each application is minimum 03 working days from the day it is submitted at The Consulate General of Japan.
